03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

I think I'm going to have to give up doing that Vanier College Production.

This week alone I have 3 shifts for Best Buy and 1 (very good) shift for White Rose. The way things are looking, I'll only be able to do things on the production on Thursdays. Maybe I can join costumes; With Vick being (miraculously) Head Wardrobe, he can just call/use me whenever the hell he wants, and I'll still be able to do all the things I can.

I have such a great amount of reading to do, it's not even funny. My mom keeps asking me if I'll be able to handle two jobs on top of schoolwork, etc etc...well, we'll see, shall we?

Best Buy training was...weird, lol. Because they're such a big company, we have all these regional cheers and chants..it's almost like a weird conference...

Anyway, did I ever tell that story about my cousin's shoe in Florida?
Every year we go down there, it's sort of a tradition to go fishing off of the county pier every night. Usually we catch a few Jacks, sometimes, if we're lucky, we snag a mackeral or two. But this year, we kept on catching crabs for some reason. They weren't even the good, blue crabs...they were the nasty, small stone crabs.
One night, my cousin caught his...oh, maybe his twelth/twentieth/bazillionth crab, he got so frustrated that he decided to kick it back into the water...along with his shoe.
I remember thinking, "Wow...that was one heavy crab to make such a splash like that."
But then he started laughing really hard, and I noticed that he was only wearing one shoe.
Luckily, the waves were moving towards the pier, not away, so we used a lure in an attempt to "catch" it. We were unsuccessful as the shoe floated under the pier.
A few minutes went by before I spotted it on the other side. Being a wet shoe, it weighed a lot, meaning that it bent the fishing rod in such a way where it looked as if he'd caught a really big fish.
A few people crowded around, "Hey! What y'all got there??"
My cousin: "My shoe!"

It was funny. Maybe you had to be there.

Halloween's going to be fun. At least, I hope it will be. If I'm not working with the right people, it won't be.
